JulyClient is preparing to tender the dredging, reclamation and shore protection contract for this project. It has completed the prequalification phase for the contract.
- 19th
AugustClient has invited Expressions of Interest (EOI) to prequalify design-build firms (based on FIDIC conditions) for dredging, reclamation and shore protection works on this project. Scope of work includes the reclamation of a new 200-hectare land parcel located between the existing southern breakwater and seawater intake of the port. The project also involves the demolition and removal of a 1,500-metre long old jetty.

OctoberClient has invited prequalified contractors to bid by 24 November for the dredging, reclamation and shore protection contract for the second phase of the Sohar Port South development. Firms that are understood to have been prequalified to bid for the contract include:
National Marine Dredging Company (UAE)
Penta Ocean (Japan)
Royal Boskalis (Netherlands)
Van Oord (Netherlands).
